This is a great option in winter, when there is little diaper rash. The cream feels cool on the baby's skin and also wipes off easily when changing the diaper. This is certainly good enough for cooler weather.
I found the maximum strength version lasts on the skin much longer - is harder to wipe away, but also more effective during the summer months.
This stuff is so great. The consistency is liked a heavy whipped cream - a bit more fluffy than the original formula. So light and easy to spread on (I keep some cotton swabs in a travel container nearby for ease of use and cleanliness reasons). It has a soft, pleasant smell and not medicinal smelling like the original, as well. My twins love the stuff and actually giggle when I apply it, so obviously no discomfort or stinging. It heals them up fast if they decided to dirty their diaper without "telling" mama during their naps. For some reason, that's when they decide to go is when I'm not looking. :) So for those times, I'm very happy to have this big tub of Desitin around. I think it's going to last upwards of four months or more. It's like buying in bulk without having to go to Sam's or Costco. The 16 oz. jar is an awesome deal at .68 an ounce with subscribe and save. This is nearly three dollars less than Walmart. This tub is about 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide. I like the screw on lid because it's harder for babies to break into. An excellent product and worth the price.
