How to treat diaper rash with coconut oil

Coconut oil
is a natural, and effective, way to help prevent future diaper rashes. You’ll want to get yourself a jar of cold-pressed or virgin coconut oil, preferably organic. Coconut oil is extremely versatile and can be used for cooking, moisturizer, or even soap. If you’re using cloth diapers it will wash right out, unlike typical diaper creams containing zinc that cause them to repel instead of absorb.

However, no matter how often you change your child’s diaper, or how diligent you are, there might be a time when they develop a diaper rash. And you’ll be wondering how to help ease your child’s suffering, especially in young infants. First you’ll want to wash your child’s bottom with water. Gently pat dry and let them “air out” for as long as you can. This is one of the best things you can do to help. And then when you are ready to put the diaper on, use a diaper cream or coconut oil.
